My new toy
For my birthday my mom got these bells for me. Today we took them to a friends house for Family Home Evening and played Christmas songs. They were a lot of fun. Next week at church some of my primary kids are playing a song in Sacrament Meeting. We will definitely use them when all of the family is around this Christmas. And to think I almost didn't get them because I was afraid I wouldn't really use them.
Whitney, do you like my picture?

Great picture pep! Mom told me about those. I'm glad you are using them. Cool that I will get to see the primary kids use them. I can't wait to use them, it will be fun. It is almost as narley (trying to bring it back) as singing the National Anthem at our whiffle ball tourny.
My favorite birthday story at the Hughes house was when your mom asked you to pay half for a birthday present that you didn't know what it was. I love that Linda!
In response to Emily's comment, I remember that happening, but what did you end up getting, and was it worth it?
If I may...
It was her 13th birthday, she got a sewing machine, and she was happy about it, although there was a twinge of jealousy that for your 13th birthday, Whitney, you got a soccer ball.
Emily, first of all, how do you remember this? Because, I don't. Secondly, I am presuming that Pepper was the jealous one, because while she was cooped up inside all day sewing away, I was outside playing soccer. However, she usually chose to do the indoor activities. An especially good move when it was chore time, and she had to wash the windows or dust, while we cleaned up dad's chainsaw mess. It usually took us over 2 weeks because he had a hard time stopping. Ahh the memories. Can't wait to relive them in a couple of days.
Don't forget, Whitney. I wasn't inside washing the windows, I was inside cleaning the bathroom up after four boys.
Pepper, you ruined the pattern Emily and I created with our comments! And yes you did enjoy cleaning pee up off the floor.
When I first saw the picture, I thought they were colorful mini-plungers and I thought...hmmmmm strange new toy.
Pep, we're coming Wed through Sat. Do you want to hang out with us: Legoland, Newport Beach temple, beach, Seaport Village, dinner somewhere?
Hey Pep. We called you. I guess you're in Idaho. Hope you're having fun!
